We all would like to get massages but most of us are reluctant to give them. The possibility of causing hurt to another person is a very serious concern. In addition, its possible to feel scared that the massage might not be good enough. We are concerned that the individual getting the massage isnt oging to like what were doing. You will be happy to learn that any person can learn how to give a great massage whenever they want to do just that. Here are a few tips on how to give an awesome back massage.

The first thing that you need to do is make certain that the person youre giving a massage is comfortable when he or she lies down. Firm and soft are what you want in terms of the surface on which they will be laying. theres no need for a table but try making them lie down on the bed. If the person is lying on the floor, give them some soft towels or blankets to lay down…or even invest in an inexpensive mat. If the person wants to remain clothed (and most will), be sure that the shirt they are wearing is made of soft material so there wont be as much friction or scratching.

Begin with the simple rub. Slowly, and using the entire flat side of both of your hands, rub up from the lower back and toward the neck. This rub must have at least a bit of pressure in it but dont try to use your full massage pressure yet. Start out at the base of the back and then glide your hands up the back then across the shoulders and then back down the back. Try making the loops smaller as you repeat this step so that the whole back can get loosened up.

Using the heels of your hands gives you a superb way to offer great and pointed pressure. Move the heels of your palms in small circles beginning in the middle of the base of the back and then working out toward the sides, upwards and then back toward the spinal column until youve done this to all the areas of the back.

Sit on one of the sides of whoever you youre giving a massage to. Next, with one hand on top of yor other hand, push into the back with your fingers. Get start at the backbone and dig in steadily and with solid pressure across the back away from the spinal column and then lightly sort of move your hands back across the back toward the spine and move upwards. Repeat while working your way up the back and then repeat on the other side.

Work out the spinal column. Starting with the base of the back, work your way up each of the sausage like muscular tissues on either side of the backbone by rubbing in tiny circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Knead each tiny node at least five times to generate some friction before moving on to the next. Rub one side of the back and then the next.

It is important too to relax the person in between each section of the massage that you are offering. For instance, after each technique you apply, do the basic rub we talked about at the start of the article for several minutes.
