This is the difference between the two processes. Toyota is considered to be the flag bearer of Lean Six Sigma.

 

As far as MBB certification is considered, both Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma have the provision. A master black belt is at the top of the Six Sigma hierarchy. This person is the internal consultant for an organization and their job is to identify processes that need improvement, get the project team together and improve the process. At the same time, the master black belt also coaches the project team and offers their inputs wherever it is required.
